About Us

Meet Coach Jaci Alviar

She is originally from Midland, TX and has been a South Texas resident for four years. She has a Bachelors degree in Communications from the University of North Texas, and is continuing her education in Echocardiography at Del Mar College. She has had the opportunity to coach a variety of teams in West Texas, DFW, and now the Coastal Bend. We are excited for our little Rattlers to build their volleyball skills from her!

Coach Abigail (Abbi) DeDear is originally from Victoria, TX and is currently living in Corpus Christi while she pursues her Bachelors degree in Education from TAMU-CC. She started playing volleyball in 6th grade and continued playing throughout high school. She currently plays volleyball for the TAMU-CC recreational volleyball club team. We are excited to have her share her positive energy with us!

Coach Cheryl Flynn has a Masters in Special Education from TAMU-CC. She started playing volleyball as early as 5th grade. She was able to make her debut as a walk-on at TAMU-CC inaugural volleyball season and played every position except for middle. She spent five years as the head volleyball coach at Mary Carroll High School, took time off to focus on family, and is now the assistant volleyball coach at Mary Carroll High School. With Coach Flynn's continued passion for the sport we are so lucky to have her!

Coach Katherine Garza is from Corpus Christi, TX. She has a Bachelors in Education from TAMU-CC. She started playing volleyball as an OH/middle in the 7th grade and has never stopped. She has had the opportunity to coach for various leagues in our community and we are excited to have our girls gain from her knowledge.

Coach Sherri Cain is originally from Portales, New Mexico and has lived in Corpus Christi, TX for 11 years. She has a Bachelors in Kinesiology from TAMU-Kingsville. In New Mexico she was a multi-sport athlete and played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. At TAMU-Kingsville she was the starting middle for two years. She is currently the head volleyball coach at Richard King High School and has been a high school head coach for 17 years. Our girls are going to learn so much from her!
